America Can Fight Terrorism But Israel Must Honor Terrorists?
by Fred Jackson and Chad Groening
(AgapePress) Pro-family leader Gary Bauer says the Bush Administration continues to demonstrate a degree of hypocrisy when it comes to the war on terrorism.
Bauer has joined other conservatives in praising President Bush for taking a strong stand against terrorism. He says a speech Bush gave in April was another "first-class defense of why America must confront and defeat the evil" it is currently facing.
But Bauer says there was the recurring "discordant note" that contradicted the overall message of the speech. He says President Bush once again leaned on Israel to support the creation of a Palestinian state even though, as Bauer notes, the Palestinian terrorists that blow up Israeli citizens are "cut from the same cloth" as the terrorists that attacked the U.S. on September 11.
Noting that Saddam Hussein paid $25,000 to each Palestinian family whose son or daughter became a homicide bomber, Bauer says these terrorists are "motivated by the same sick, radical Islamic Jihad philosophy" that sees innocent children as targets for death.
