The Truth Will Set You Free!

These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and
searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.
(Acts 17:11)

What does the Bible say about Predestination
NKJV, NIV
Has Jesus only predestined some to inherit the promise of eternal life? Is it true only Jesus' seed is predestined to inherit the promise?

Is it true that not everyone is a child of God?

These NIV Bible Verses Have The True Answer!

Proverbs 16:4 The LORD works out everything for His own ends— even the wicked for a day of disaster.

So...

Romans 9:14-24 What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all! For He says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion." It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy. For the Scripture says to Pharaoh: "I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that My name might be proclaimed in all the earth." Therefore God has mercy on whom He wants to have mercy, and He hardens whom He wants to harden. One of you will say to me: "Then why does God still blame us? For who resists His will?" But who are you, O man, to talk back to God? "Shall what is formed say to Him who formed it, 'Why did You make me like this?' " Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use? What if God, choosing to show his wrath and make His power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath—prepared for destruction? What if He did this to make the riches of His glory known to the objects of His mercy, whom He prepared in advance for glory—even us, whom He also called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles?

Acts 13:48 When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and honored the word of the Lord; and all who were appointed for eternal life believed.

Matthew 22:14 "For many are invited, but few are chosen."

Matthew 13:24-30 …"The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. 26When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared. "The owner's servants came to him and said, 'Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?'" 'An enemy did this,' he replied.  "The servants asked him, 'Do you want us to go and pull them up?'" 'No,' he answered, 'because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.' "

But until then...

2Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

John 17:12 except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.

However, we who where prepared before hand, predestined and appointed to be Jesus' children should praise Him...

2Timothy 1:9 …who has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time...

Romans 8:29-30   For those God foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified.

James 1:18 He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all He created.

Ephesians 2:10 …we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Ephesians 1:4-12 For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will—to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One He loves. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. And He made known to us the mystery of His will according to his good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment—to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ. In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will, in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of His glory.

But remember...

John 15:16 (paraphrased) You did not choose (Jesus), but (He) chose you and appointed you...

Jesus say's to the Father...

John 17:12 While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name You gave Me. None has been lost...

Are you a vessel for honor or a vessel for dishonor?

1John 3:4-10 Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. But you know that he appeared so that He might take away our sins. And in Him is no sin. No one who lives in Him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen Him or known Him. Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother.

If you are a vessel of dishonor, Jesus say's...

John 10:26-29 ...you do not believe because you are not My sheep. My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of My Father's hand.

2 Timothy 2:19 ...God's solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness."

John 6:64-65 ...there are some of you who do not believe." For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him. He went on to say, "This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled him."

Do not worry about who is/not a child of God, for Jesus know's those who truly belong to Him, and He will not even let one of them be lost.

Nevertheless, we are still commanded to...

Mark 16:15 …Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.

and...

Titus 3:14 (paraphrased) …to devote (ourselves) to doing what is good, in order that (we) may provide for daily necessities and not live unproductive lives.

Ephesians 6:18 With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
