Grace and Mercy

Isaiah 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.

Proverbs 28:13 He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.

Romans 9:15 (God has)...mercy on whomever (He) will have mercy, and (He has)...compassion on whomever (He) will have compassion.

Psalm 145:8 The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy.

2 Chronicles 6:14 ...God...keep(s) (His) covenant and mercy with (His) servants who walk before (Him) with all their hearts...

Psalm 25:10 All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth,To such as keep His covenant and His testimonies.

Psalm 103:11 ...So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him...

1 Chronicles 16:34 Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.

James 4:6-7 “ God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

2 Corinthians 12:9 (Jesus) said...“My grace is sufficient for you...

Hebrews 4:15-16 ...we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

However...

2 Corinthians 6:1 We...plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain.

Titus 2:11-12 ...the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly...

Romans 6:13-15 ...do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!

Romans 6:1-2 ...Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?

Hebrews 10:26-27 ...if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.

John 1:17 ...the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 10:28-30 Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The LORD will judge His people.”

Galatians 5:4 (Those)...who attempt to be justified by law...have fallen from grace.

Galatians 2:21 ...for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”

Romans 5:1-2 ...having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Romans 3:24 (We are)...justified freely by His grace...

Romans 5:12-21 ...through one man sin entered the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned— (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.) Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous. Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

2 Corinthians 8:7 ...as you abound in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence...see that you abound in this grace also.

Colossians 4:6 Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.

Warning...
